Support Community Care Aides
Thank them for making home possible
Community Care Aides make it possible to receive care at home and age with dignity. Whether they’re administering meds, changing sheets, or assisting with bathing, thousands of British Columbians rely on this care to stay healthy, safe, and at home.
Without this essential support, many of us and our loved ones might have to go into a facility to get care. Or we might need to take on unpaid caregiving responsibilities ourselves.
We count on Community Care Aides to do tough jobs that are physically and emotionally taxing. And yet these workers receive less pay and fewer benefits than workers who do the same work in facilities like hospitals and care homes.
Right now, Community Care Aides are in contract negotiations with the provincial government, fighting for better pay, better benefits, and better recognition for the critical work they do.
HERE’S AN EASY WAY FOR YOU TO HELP:
Share a personal story about why Community Care Aides are important to you, your loved ones, and your community.
If hundreds of us share stories, we can empower Community Care Aides and make sure they know we stand with them.
Share your story now about why you appreciate the Community Care Aides who make home possible.
Sharing is caring
